People, environments, & storytelling
on a deeper level
Eric Weisz Photo (EWP) was ignited by a 1980s family photo taken on a Pentax K1000 that revealed a sense of light, depth, and expression that captivated a young kid’s imagination.
Over the next several years, Eric spent countless hours in the darkroom, together with formal and self-led technical and visual training, work resulting in regional recognition and awards.
Eric earned a BA in Studio Art from the University of Maine, with additional studio art studies at the University of New Mexico, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, and the Maine Photo + Media Workshops.
Completing 500+ assignments over the next decade as a commercial, portrait, and Division I sports photographer, Eric’s work has been published in newspapers, magazines, and across print and digital campaigns for leading commercial, university, and private accounts.
In addition to image making, Eric has led digital photo and image composition workshops for youth, university, and corporate teams.
Stepping away from photography in 2008, Eric spent seven years in live event production and corporate sponsorship development for music and entertainment brands, followed by the last eleven years in renewable energy development progressing large solar and battery projects for commercial, public agency, and electric utility accounts. These unique experiences heightened Eric’s ability to understand the varying sectors, people, environments, and storytelling needs of clients on a deeper level.
Returning in 2026 to full-time photography, Eric’s work blends an editorial approach with organic photojournalistic moments, capturing people as they are, within the environments that shape their story.
